my very first blog conference

Saturday I attended the SITS Girls' Bloggy Boot Camp. I bought my ticket a few months ago on a whim, and am so glad I did. It was a LONG, fun day. And I met some awesome ladies and learned a ton.

This is Kat, she is famous, and my new bloggy best friend.

Meet Lyssa, who blogs at Born Again Crafter. She won the ticket to BBC on my blog a few weeks back. She is just as super sweet as she looks.

Stasha purchased a custom camera strap a few weeks ago so I was excited to meet her in real life. She is a super cool gal who I will totally be real life friends with, Then there was Jyl (yes, she is THAT gorgeous)and Kerri aka The Maven, who seems to know everything about social media (plus she wears red shoes, so duh)!

I met a TON of other ladies too (Hi Fran! Hi Tiff!), but didn't get pictures with them. (Insert sad face here). The speakers were really great, I learned about Growing a Lifestyle Blog from @jennyonthespot (I also learned that that's what I have here...a LIFESTYLE blog!) Oh, and I ALSO asked her if I could touch her hair, pretty sure she thinks I'm weird now. @carolschiller talked about how to pitch brands and get them to pay attention (I can't wait to practice this skill). Denae Handley (@fedexmylife) talked about writing and finding your voice. I do feel like I have a pretty good grasp of what my voice is, but she was stinking hilarious anyway. @jylmomif explained how our influence as bloggers goes way beyond our numbers, which is refreshing, because my numbers aren't huge, but my desire to be internet famous is.
