wordless wednesday, but with words

So today I snapped a couple of pictures of our dessert (compliments of our friend and neighbor Katie!). And since it was Camden's birthday on Sunday we decided to stick a candle in it and sing Happy Birthday! But wow, can you tell I accidentally left my ISO set at 1600? (which worked great last night after dusk, but not today next to a huge window).  It's SO noisy!   

Oh well...moving on.  Charlie wouldn't eat any Chicken Tikki but he devoured his cupcake!

Here's my confession:
I don't really "get" wordless wednesday. So let's call it what it is. Around here words are totally ok, and actually encouraged! So if you like words too and want to link up your wordless wednesday, but with words, please do.  And if it's Thursday by the time you get around to it, well heck, that's ok too.

    Cute photos...but yeah, noisy. My camera (a D60) doesn't do well even next to large windows, so my ISO is usually up in that range indoors...even with a fast lens, it's tough to get the shutter speed up enough to capture motion. I think I need to upgrade - stat!!!

    I have to say, it makes me feel a bit better than another brand of camera is noisy at 1600. Sometimes I can get different look with all the noise, but its not something I go for, lol!
