before and after boy's room

I'm back, with another edition of then and now--HOUSE style (click here if you missed the family room edition)! 

Today I'm showing you Camden's room.  Because for once in the five 1/2 years we've lived in this house it was actually CLEAN for a few minutes!  But first, here is the room BEFORE we bought the house (circa 2005):

And here it is after we painted (Pratt and Lambert - Postal Blue) and got our brand spanking new carpet (hence, the cleanliness of the room).  The table and chair were Grace's, the (newly separated) bunkbeds were a gift from Nanny Janis, the curtains are from Target of course, the bedspreads are also from Target.  One of them I got on clearance for like $19.99 right before Nanny gave us the bunkbeds, which required a matching one (because, duh!).  Of course they were discontinued by that time so I had to resort to ebay and pay a pretty penny for the matching one...(since I got a steal on the first one it all worked out).  The magnetic bulletin board is from Ikea.

This is the other side of the room.   I love these bike prints.  They are actually cork, meant to be bulletin boards, but I am not telling Camden that!  I found them at Artco for like $20 bucks apiece and I think they fit the room perfectly.  Plus, in case you hadn't notice, my hubby is a LEETLE bit into biking, so they work for our family.  The bookcase is from a wood furniture store up the street.  To the right of this picture is a big closet where we keep his (ugly) white formica dresser IN the closet, and his shelves with baskets and tubs of all his toys.

And no, his room does NOT look this clean anymore.  It probably never will again.
