and then she snapped: don't be a baby

don't be a baby

Charlie and I drove up to the southcenter mall today.  This is me...driving (and taking a picture at the same time).

We met some new friends, Mandy, and her son, Bennett for lunch, and Mandy suggested the Rainforest Cafe so the boys wouldn't get bored.  I agreed it was a great idea.  Boy, were we wrong.  This is what Charlie thought of the place.

Apparently the entertainment was a little much for him.  He was screaming.  And you can ask Mandy, it was full on screaming, not the pretend kind at all. Finally, after about five whole minutes I got him to stop crying, AND we moved to a table farther away from the entertainment gorillas.  Only problem?  The gorillas are on a 12 minute cycle.  So every 12 minutes it started all over again.  Needless to say, we ate quickly, and packed up to get outta there!

We walked over to the play place at the mall which was much better (no more screaming at least).  Charlie could relax instead of looking over his shoulder (every 12 minutes) wondering when those scary ass gorillas were going to start up again.  And Bennett could show off his mad walking skills, by repeatedly walking over to another mom's stroller trying to swipe her Starbucks.  Hey lady, strollers aren't allowed IN the play area!

  5. Southcenter got a play area? I really haven't been there since it got remodeled. Poor little guy, I jump when those things go off too. Glad he got to have fun though with his buddy!

  6. I've been to that mall! I saw the rainforst cafe but never went it, LOL. I'm glad I didn't. Perhaps my daughter would have reacted the same way. I've been to the one in Disneyland only.

  9. Oh my...you should've consulted me before torturing your poor youngin'. I think my girls are still afraid of those crazy gorillas at the Rainforest Cafe. I guess we won't be going there any time soon. :-) ((HUG)) that sweet baby of yours for me!
