I got my nativity set from my Grama Vera (my dad's mom). She made it for her mom, and then eventually got it back and my parents had it for a while, and now it's mine. I really do love it, because it's all plain. I like things plain. Baby Jesus has a broken hand, and a couple donkeys have broken ears, but I still love it! Camden set it up this year, and I love how he put EVERYBODY all right around Baby Jesus.
anyway....this is SOOC:
...so I added a duplicate layer (soft light blending mode), then turned down the saturation. finally I added a bokeh texture layer (that I made!), set THAT to soft light and turned down the opacity quite a bit. I like how it turned out. Oh, and I cropped it.
I love this nativity scene and want one!!! What, changed your mind about the other photo? :-)
ReplyDeleteI think my grandma has one of these...or something very similar that was handmade by an old guy at our church (he passed away many years ago). I would love it if I had it one day.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, so pretty. Very fitting for the Baby Jesus.
