Halloween!

I am not one to really get excited about parties, or getting dressed up, or staying out late...I'm pretty much a boring homebody most of the time, BUT...our friends, Benner and Holli, had an 80s themed Halloween party this year and I have to admit, I totally got into it at the end! Chris went as Kurt Rambis who is (he tells me) a basketball player from the 80s, we found the perfect LA Lakers basketball jersey and some short shorts at Value Village (the shorts still weren't short enough, so we had to take them up about 4 more inches!). The toughest part of Chris' costume ended up being finding long athletic socks, with the stripes. Who knew!? I borrowed a gorgeous hot pink and black lace off the shoulder prom dress, (from a friend who actually wore it to prom!). The dress was pretty snug on my burgeoning belly, but having to hike it up made it all the more entertaining in my mind. A quick stop at rite aid for some bright blue eyeshadow and bright pink lipstick, and a crimped, side ponytail completed the outfit.



One slight problem with Chris' outfit is that it really wasn't appropriate for him to SIT at all...without proper "coverage".



And I just had to share this photo, because I am certain I have a photo of myself from the late eighties, with the same hairdo, and the same, pre-prom pose.
