and then she snapped: show off your shot

show off your shot

I went to Camden's soccer game this weekend. And took my big girl camera. AND my big ol' lens so I could get nice and close to these boys without getting too close (8 year olds are stinky, let me tell you). Camden played goalie the whole game and loved it. Even if his team didn't win.

Also, you guys? I spent $130 on a wireless router today. That seems like a lot, doesn't it? But Grace and I counted and we have 12 devices at our house that connect to the internet and the guy in the red vest at Costco said the cheaper one wasn't going to cut it. He upsold me. And nobody ever upsells me. Oh well, as long as it works I'll be happy! Even though you know I'll always wonder if I could have gotten away with the less expensive one. Grace says I have a problem spending money. (It's true, I like to hoard my money). Which is probably why I'm still "shopping" for a new camera. Should I get the new D600? Or stick with the cropped sensor D7000? Or forget about it and keep my D5100? OR should I jump ship and get a Canon?

Won't you join me and show off your shot...it's easy!
Simply share any photo of your choosing this week. Link up (your blog post or flickr photo), and visit some of the other show offs as well!

I do ask that you kindly link back to my blog using this button (although a text link is perfectly ok too):

  4. I hear ya!! I bought my router/modem in one from the phone company when I set up service. It was expensive & I constantly have issues with it. I actually have issues with the service in general so I will be spending my day calling them. I am seriously considering the mobile wi-fi through my cell company instead if it could handle the amount of time I am on line.

As for the camera- I hear ya. I look at all the choices & it's daunting.

  5. I don't know what camera you should get (though I suspect the answer is not jumping to the Canon camp (says the happy canon owner, but your precious lenses!!) Anyway, I'm sure you'll be happier with the more spendy router. That was def a smart move.
Lovely action shot here! He's so focused! The energy just jumps right out at me!

  9. It is nice to have full frame. You sure are ready for it!! I sometimes wonder if Canon would have made me just as happy. If you are jumping ship this is the time, before you end up with a few full frame lenses...
