and then she snapped: i pulled the trigger. twice.

i pulled the trigger. twice.

You may not know this about me, but I'm not really a big purchaser. I mean, hell yes, I LOVE to shop, but I am such a bargain shopper that I spend an inordinate amount of time researching large (or large-ish) purchases before I can commit. Chris and I are quite different in this area. (I like to shop, he likes to BUY). But today, I put on my big girl panties and went to the AT&T store and got me my very own iPhone. Like WITH a CONTRACT and everything. It's so pretty. I love it. I don't know why I hesitated so long. (Yes I do actually, it's because I'm cheap). But anyway, I was on such a roll that I came home and ordered a Kindle Fire. Something else I've wanted for a while. I even had $200 sitting in my amazon account just BEGGING to be spent. So, it was really the right thing to do. The ONLY thing to do.

And here is a photo that has nothing to do with pulling the trigger:

  1. Good for you! I'm the same as you. I always try to find the best deals and I'm quite frugal. I contemplated buying an iPhone for over a year before I actually got one. I'm glad I did, I love it! You will too!

  2. Ohhhhh! Congratulations! We've had our iPhones for awhile, and I LOVE mine. Love. And I've been wanting a Kindle for a long time. There's never any money left over to do anything fun with, and if tehre ever was . . . well, I'm much too practical to spend it. Maybe one day :)

  4. The only reason that I don't have an iphone is cost. I'm too cheap to pay for it. Dying for instagram though. Jealous. I was using my regular kindle this weekend when I started dreaming of the kindle fire. Jealous of that too. I have a birthday coming the summer -- maybe someone will be nice. :) Enjoy your new toys.

  8. I'm the other way. I love to buy and shop. My husband loves to save and always says we don't need. I grew up with "You want it. Get it! Never regret." Good for you for splurging on yourself. I have one question: How do you feel today about your buys???

    Cute picture!!!

  21. I stopped by to say enjoy your SITS day! I just bought a Kindle yesterday from Amazon, too! I didn't get the Kindle Fire, I got the $139 model. I've had 4 books published on Kindle, so I figured I should probably get one! lol
Look up EVA GALLANT in Kindle books and see if there's something there you might enjoy! (By the way, it's taken me a year to finally breakdown and buy a Kindle..I'm cheap, too!)

  26. I'm the same, have to put the research in before buying. Especially big purchases.
The iPhone is definitely a good buy though. I feel in love instantly.

  27. Unlike you, I'm dirt cheap. LOL. Refuse to have a cell phone because I simply think I don't need it and it's another expense I can do without. My son got me an IPOD so he can Facetime me when I'm home. Just because they want to know where I am all the time. Love your blog and I'm your newest follower.

  28. Two smart purchases in my opinion! I absolutely love my iPhone, and I love reading books on my kindle. It's such a neat little invention. I love that I can have 3 or 4 books with me at all times, ready to read. Love your blog, and I enjoyed reading your SITS featured blogger post.
