I've got a seven year old boy. So I know messy.
Seven year old boys think that if you're not getting dirty you're not doing it right.
Obviously.
Therefore falling down at soccer is imperative. Even if there is no soccer ball or even other players around.
Preferably after a rain, so the ground is extra muddy. And the grass is SURE to get good and ground into that white jersey.
It helps too if you make dramatic grunting noises when you fall. The louder the better. You want to make sure everybody hears you.
Otherwise it doesn't count.
My seven year old boy is REALLY good at soccer. Obviously.
Here's my confession:
I don't really "get" wordless wednesday. So let's call it what it is. Around here words are totally ok, and actually encouraged! So if you like words too and want to link up your wordless wednesday, but with words, please do. And if it's Thursday by the time you get around to it, well heck, that's ok too.

ReplyDeleteI tried to link 3X // nothing linked ..
ReplyDeleteNow that is a messy boy. No wonder he likes soccer. ;)
ReplyDeleteApologies ... seems that the 'net was slow and I thought my link(s) werent posting ... now they are there many times .. again I am very sorry
ReplyDeleteThere is another link up out there called wordful Wednesday for days like this when we just can't shut up. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe idea behind Wordless I think is for those days when a picture says a thousand words? or you just don't have anything to post or write, and then just blah your way through. LOL
We love soccer! My oldest started thi year nd he thinks it is awesome! Guess I should participate in th challenge because I have two very messy boys.
ReplyDeleteBased on the number of grass stains - he looks like a rock star! I tried once to play soccer, but I kept getting pounded in the chest. Clearly, I got some of the rules mixed up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing contest rules, and hosting your fabulous 'with words' linky.
ReplyDeleteOh, and cute photos of your dirty boy!

Really glad I found your blog! As a mom of two boys and girl I can testify that boys have a special love for mud and anything related to mud! Loved the line about how he has to make noise that everyone can hear...or else it doesn't count! haha
ReplyDeleteI also so agree with your philosophy of a wordless Wed. with words! I write a blog for god's sake....I can't NOT write words.
Following you now...hope you can stop by and say hi!
So true, boys love to get dirty.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the first picture I cracked up! My dog, Sydney (or Princess Pretty Paws) rolls on the soccer fields all the time. She hasn't interrupted a game yet, but she has interrupted practice.
ReplyDeleteShe likes the white lines. So when I saw your handsome player, I thought - oh yeah, the white lines.
hee hee
haha! what a dork!
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh I so giggled because this is so my 8 yr. old son but he manages to get dirty EVERY game. He's a pitcher but the boy somehow ends up the dirtiest one on the time. Oh for the love of the dirt I mean Game :)
ReplyDeleteHe really does look like a living, breathing laundry commercial! Great photos.
