and then she snapped: Yet another field trip on yet another not school day. I deserve a medal.

Yet another field trip on yet another not school day. I deserve a medal.

We went to the "pump-me" patch today. And by patch, I mean we went to a roadside vegetable/fruit stand (Patterson's in Gig Harbor, if you're curious). Where no boots are required. Because there is no mud. And we didn't have to drive 45 minutes to get there. Charlie chose his "pump-me" as soon as we got there and carried it around.
The. Entire. Time.

It was so cute that we decided it would be "fun" to take the kids out to dinner afterwards (to Blazing Onion, if you're curious). Bad idea. Whoever thinks it's a good idea to take the kids out to dinner should be taken out back and beat senseless. Or at least be forced to take the kids out to dinner.

PS Charlie's "pump-me" lasted about 3 hours with the stem.

  3. Awww! What is it about pics of crying kids that's... sorta... funny (I feel terrible even saying that)? Is it that they remind me of myself when I can't find matching whites or am having a bad hair day?? I LOVE your photos, by the way!

  6. There is definitely something kind of funny about pictures of little ones crying. I am always nervous about sharing pictures of my girls tantrums, because I fear that people will think I'm mean. This post makes me feel better about that.

  8. That looks like so much fun. I really have to try to find a pumpkin patch. The only place to get one here is Wal-Mart. Not exactly what I had in mind. :)

  14. You need a trophy case. Eva says ku-kin - together I think they would have all the letters.

  17. I love this time of year and the search for just the right pumpkin. It was always a fun thing to do with my kids. We have had many school field trips to the pumpkin patch. It is sort of a tradition with my kids to go to the local orchard during Pumpkin Fest. even now that they are older, 26 and 17, we still all go together. Now my sister and her family go too. I love it!!
Your pictures are great! I especially like the shot of your litle boy with his pumpkin...Priceless.
As for dinner out, with kids. I never had a problem dining out with my kids. My stepson is a different story. He was all over the place, loud and threw fits often. He is 13 now, so it is not so bad.
