and then she snapped: bargain shopper extraordinaire

bargain shopper extraordinaire

So I went back to school shopping today. BY MYSELF. And I'm just warning you that the bargains I am about to show you may just hurt your eyes. They are that awesome.

First I headed to Old Navy, because I knew they had their jeans on sale, and that's all Camden will wear. So, I bought 5 pairs of their boys skinny jeans. One for each of day of the school week...

I got a baby gift for a friend's new baby Isaiah (hi Kristi!), some jeans for Charlie, 2 short sleeved ringer tees for Camden, and 3 long sleeved baseball style tees for Camden.

Finally (yes, I did three separate transactions so that I could use three separate $10 off $50 coupons, what about it?) I got two lunchboxes, two polos for Grace, some RockStar super skinny jeans for Grace, a plaid button up shirt for Camden, and some worn in khakis (that I'm sure Camden will never wear, because he will ONLY wear jeans, so they MAY be going back).

In total I spent $143.10 at Old Navy, and got stuff that if I paid full price (which I NEVER would do) would have cost $314.72. I saved 55% people. PLUS, I got $50 in Old Navy "Super Cash" which I can spend later in the month! So, I went to Macys to celebrate. And bought some old lady shoes. Which were originally $70. So I saved 65% on those. Not that I was counting or anything.

PS If you're worried that I didn't get enough clothing for Grace, you can rest assured, she and I went shopping earlier in the week and she got to choose her own back to school clothes, and she'll be styling. Well, as styling as one can be when one has to wear polos to school. and TUCK. THEM. IN.

PPS I was not paid or otherwise compensated in any way for this post. Old Navy has no idea who I am, although they totally SHOULD!

  10. Wowzer! Great deal! I love how Old Lady shoes are lookin' stylish these days. My mom had on some Clarke flip flops and I thought "I could totally wear these, they are cute!" Either they hired a new shoe designer and are getting hip on the times, or I am just getting older and finding the "old lady" stuff not sooo old lady anymore. Oh God - there are probably elastic waist jeans in my future...
