and then she snapped: two binkies!

two binkies!

Last night after dinner, and a very long day with lots of senseless crying and whining (from the baby), I told very nicely asked the other people in my house to please take our youngest away from me upstairs to get him jammied and distracted and away from me so that I could drink wine do the dishes all by myself. After I had a glass of wine finished I headed upstairs to see what was going on. I came upon this scene.
Yes, that is one happy baby with two, count them! TWO binkies. Every minute or so he would take one out of his mouth and swap it with the other, and it. was. hilarious. He only gets binkies in his bed (and normally only when he's going to sleep), so he was pretty stoked to have two and it wasn't even bedtime!

linking up with project alicia because I just love the light in this shot

"look, Mom! I have TWO binkies!"

Enjoying relaxing time with Dad. I just love this picture, because it is just what our evenings are like (well, some evenings).

We've got nothing planned for this weekend, until the 4th when we are going to some friends' for a BBQ, and I am really looking forward to just hanging around...doing whatever!

  1. This is hilarious! They treat them like crack... it is so sad. We are on first full day of no binky... So far so good.

  4. My kids used to do the same thing with their binkies. I think I even caught my middle child switching between 3 once. :)

  6. I love him and his binkie! I've been trying to get Brees to use a binkie for months and she's not having it! I have convinced myself it is the key to her sleeping through the night and must coerce her into this habit, HA! The photos are so great!
