We spent the first day of summer (booyah!) downtown hanging out with skaters, celebrating the legalization of skateboarding in Tacoma. Camden brought his board and (cautiously) joined in the fun, and we watched the youth trick competition, until it go too hot and no nap Charlie needed to go home.
Here's my confession:
I don't really "get" wordless wednesday. So let's call it what it is. Around here words are totally ok, and actually encouraged! So if you like words too and want to link up your wordless wednesday, but with words, please do. And if it's Thursday by the time you get around to it, well heck, that's ok too.

How fun! I love the one where he has his helmet on. "Watch me Mom!" kind of look on his face...or should I say..."let's see what I can get into". :) Again, great photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the stroller one....love the look on his face. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start summer!

sorry i missed you guys! it WAS hot down there tho. Charlie looks pretty cranky in the stroller, too! lol. Camden looks adorable skating :) xo
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day. We love summertime!
ReplyDeleteHooray for making skateboarding legal!! Love that shot of Camden.
ReplyDeleteEven in my dink town, there are skate parks nearby. It's a good idea because it keeps them from doing it where businesses & such don't want them. Which equals no trouble with the law, etc.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest used to skate. I could never watch him because I was so terrified of serious injury.
Then, a couple years back I watched the tv show "Scarred". Not recommended. Trust me, unless you have a hard stomach.
Great pics of the kids.
How fun! I wish we had a skate park close by. Love the Charlie in the stroller pic, Jax is eating out of the same blue snack cup, as I type.
ReplyDeleteCute photos. Looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun event! Do you love your Joovy Kooper? We have been considering it as a smaller alternative when Will is a little older.
