I had the honor of seeing this brand new movie before it's even released! It's called Make Believe and it's a documentary about a handful of the world's best teenage magicians and their quest to make it as the next Teen World Champion. The film crew follows the lives of six young kids from all over the world...Japan, Chicago, South Africa, California, and more as they prepare for the competition in Las Vegas.
We made a family movie night of it tonight and we all enjoyed the film, although Camden had a hard time sitting still once he got the idea that HE wanted to perform magic tricks for us (and I'm here to tell you that HIS tricks weren't all that impressive. at all).
If you are in the LA area, GO SEE IT when it opens this weekend exclusively at the Laemle 5 on Sunset. Master Magician Lance Burton, the teen stars of the film, the director J Clay Tweel AND my very own friend Ingrid (former reality tv star, turned mommy blogger!) will be at EVERY SHOWING this weekend. If you go, will you tell them I sent you?
Sounds like it was really fun!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Rachel! Thanks for the shout out. At the screening last night, the moms were so proud. I love the way this film encourages kids to go after their dreams. And that going after your dreams is hard work!!
