and then she snapped: worst mother of the year award

worst mother of the year award

He looks so happy, huh?  Which means this was OBVIOUSLY taken BEFORE the news that he has THREE cavities.  And even more OBVIOUSLY taken BEFORE the dentist called later to say that after she looked at his xrays she found TWO MORE cavities.  For you non-math types, that is FIVE cavities.  I feel like the worst. mom. ever. Who wants to come over and brush my kid's teeth everyday?

  1. Some kids just have bad teeth no matter what you do. You aren't doing anything wrong! Good thing you brought him in though sometimes we'll have parents that bring their 2 year olds in and they have to get pulpotomys!(baby root canals)

  2. I read an article just the other day that said cavities could be caused by a certain bacteria present in some people's mouths... (or rather, you're more likely to get them if you have that bacteria). So not entirely your fault!

  3. Aw, look at that huge grin!! I'm never that happy when I'm at the dentist! But, I do have to say that you are absolutely not a bad mom (although I'm sure you know that)!!

And, if my daughter was a boy, her name would have been Camden. I love it!

  5. You're not the worst mom. Cavities happen.

PS: On my blog reader... this was the next one right after yours.

  6. I think some kids are just doomed. My kids eat way too much junk food and there are nights I am just not going to fight it, so they go to bed without brushing. And... no cavities. Nothing I did or didn't do. Luck. And good genes?

  7. Misery loves company and I'm joining you because I was just informed mine has three cavities. And he's 19 so I think that makes it even more difficult to find someone to brush his teeth! :)
