thank you, Amy, for linking up, please take your "prize":
This week I am sharing a little tip that my friend, Jenny, taught me, about brightening up eyes. I used it on Wednesday's POTD.
First I used the dodge tool, set the "range" to "highlights" and exposure low-ish...I think I did about 25% on this one. Then you simply "color" over the eyes. It doesn't change the color, or anything, just brightens them up a bit.
Next, I used the sharpen tool, set the "mode" to "normal" and I think about 50% strength. (You can definitely play around with this). Then you just brush over the eyelashes, to make them kind of stand out a bit more.
Here's a screen shot, just to show you what tools I'm talking about:
What tip can you share this week? Anything? Please link up to your blog and share something about how you set up or took the photo, or how you edited it. I really want to know, so please don't skip this part! Then add my button so others can play along! I can't wait to see what you come up with this week!
Neat trick!
ReplyDeleteI *think* this is the first time I've participated in your challenge, but then again I have a terrible memory, so it may be the 2nd time. :) ...I'm already thinking about what I can share next week!
This is lovely. You brightened both his sweet face and his eyes without making it over the top. I love that! Thank you for hosting. It is my first time joining.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time linking up! I'm not a professional... so i'm sure my picture will not hold a light to some of the other entries BUT i do have a SUPER cute kid and a new camera that i'm learning to use!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice little trick. I've been using Morgan Kervin's Eye Love action for my eye stuff but I like how this enhances the blue. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips! Have a great weekend!
