and then she snapped: show {off} your shot - photo share

show {off} your shot - photo share

It's week SEVEN you guys!  Are you having fun yet?

First off, we had some great entries last week, but I think my favorite is this one from Hot Coffee Mama:

Congratulations, Anne!, feel free to steal my winner button if you like:

And without further ado, on to this week.  Many of you know that I am doing a Project 365, where I am taking a photo every day for a year.  I plan on printing a book of all the photos at the end, and decided I would do that in the form of weekly collages.  Here is my collage for the very first week:

I'm using a free photoshop template from M Originals and it's actually super easy to use.  I open the template, as well as all the photos I want to use for that week in my photoshop elements editor.  Then I copy each photo onto the correct layer in the template and create a clipping mask so that I can move it around and "crop" how I like.  The one downside (for me) is that most of my photos aren't already cropped square, and since this template only allows for square images I'm having to lose some of each photo.  But, I really like the symmetry of the layout, so I'll just deal with it.  : )

Now it's your turn...create a blog post including one of your favorite shots from this week.  Please remember to share something about how you took the photo, or how you edited it...so that we can all learn from each other.  Also, please add my button to your post, so others can play along.  Then link up your blog post to the linky tool below.  Oh, and don't forgot to blog hop around a bit and comment on some other entries.  You know how we all love comments, right?  Have fun!

  1. My first And Then She Snapped :) I realized I forgot to add details of the what and how of the shot. I'll make sure to add it next time.

I love your idea for P365. I've been trying to come up with a final project for my photos and your idea captures the year wonderfully.

  2. I love the idea of making a book consisting of collages from each week. Though I do take a lot of pics, I didn't conciously do a potd for a year but this idea has inspired me to start..and then steal your idea of a collage book :)
