Welcome back to the 5th week of show {off} your shot. I have a killer headache right now so this is going to have to be quick. Sorry! I took this photo of Camden this summer when I was experimenting with shutterspeed. This was taken with a fast shutterspeed (1/2000) so that he literally looks frozen in time. I think it's pretty cool how he looks like he's just balancing there. : ) Also, you'll notice that the background is blurred, that's because I used a large aperture of f2.2. I LOVE a shallow depth of field. Pretty much all the time. Except for group shots, then it doesn't really work.
Now it's your turn...post one of your favorite shots from this week. Please remember to share something about how you took the photo, or how you edited it...so that we can all learn from each other. Also, add my button to your post, so others can play along.
Love the photo. I'll probably be back tomorrow for the linky party.
ReplyDeleteI really like that photo. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo!
ReplyDeleteIt's my first time linking up with you today :)
Shutter speed is one of those things I need to play around with a little more in the coming year. I feel like I've gotten a good grip on aperture but SS is one of those things I don't know how to manipulate well. I love how this turned out.
ReplyDeleteGreat action capture!
ReplyDeletei like this photo a lot... it's kinda sassy. with an edge...

Thanks Rachel, love yours - and love shallow depth of field. It gives such superb clarity in the foreground - and not just because the back is blurred. It's truly how the human eye sees. (well mine anyway, but I have old lady eyes besides the fact that I am in my 30s).
