prepare yourselves.  this may be the longest post in the history of and then, she {snapped}!
we started Christmas Eve with a family shot on the sofa, before the noon children's service at church.

linking up my fashion with harpers' happenings.  I wore a sweater from Macy's, (vintage) skirt from Target, boots from Nordstrom Rack.
also linking up with paper heart camera for self-portrait: sitting.

Next up is Christmas Eve chaos dinner at my Grandma Vera's.  These are some of my favorite girls:
(Clare, Caitrin, Aylie, and Emily)

This is my crazy wonderful dad, and his girlfriend, Jeanne.  They were oohing and aahing over Charlie Pete of course!

This is Aylie being surprised devastated amazed that Grace is taller than her!

My dad again, with Grandy Joe, who is Aylie's grandpa who travelled all the way from Scotland by himself (at age 95!)

Andrew Santa Claus scaring the crap out of Charlie.

See?

Chris had a brilliant idea and suggested to Camden that maybe Santa would like a beer, rather than the traditional cookies and milk.  Turns out he was right!  Santa drank the whole thing!

the letter reads:  Dear Santa, I hav bin pritee good. I wont a art set and sum hot weels and a pensol.  Thak you.  Sa(y) hay to misis klos.  From, Camden.

The next morning...
Seven AM, because that is the earliest mom and dad said we could all get up.
Camden loves his new Tony Hawk skateboard that Santa brought!

Look what Santa brought me!!

Charlie loves his new little people barn!

Then we had family over for brunch.  This is Grace and Clare looking adorable.

I got a little bit bossy and set up the tripod.

L-R:  (my brother) Lars, (my sister) Clare, (clare's boyfriend) Sean, (lars' wife) Tanya, (lars' son) Nick, Camden, Chris, Grace, Charlie, Jeanne, Dad, Me

Next we went to my mom's house for Christmas dinner!
This is my grampa and grama looking all prim and proper.

Hope you had a very merry Christmas too!

I am sort of glad it's all over though, I put away Christmas today, except for the tree, which is not DEAD!  (because it was never alive, but still...it looks good!)
