biggest and littlest

I learned something in my photography class this week.  Something SO simple, yet SO brilliant...

Oh, did you want me to tell you what it is?

Well, OK, I guess I can share...

Shoot in the shade.

That's it!

When you're outside, it's a beautiful sunny day, step into the shade of a building, or a tree, and shoot there.

You won't get harsh shadows on your lovely subjects' faces.

Amazing!

and just to prove it, this photo is SOOC.  not edited even one tiny little bit.  seriously!

we had a FABULOUS time on our Drechsel Family Field Trip to Seattle today, and I got a ton of great photos.  But, I'm tired, so tomorrow, k?

Have you voted for me today?  I'm number 15.  FIFTEEN!  Help me stay in the top, please?  Some of you have asked me what I get for being in the top.  Well, nothing, really. BUT, it's so rewarding knowing that people LIKE me.  (they really LIKE me?).  I mean, this blogging thing is a full time job (and I use the term job lightly because jobs normally pay), so these little pats on the back are so awesome.  thanks!
