going home...
we spent a long weekend at whidbey island with hilary, ben, and tula. it was so fun, and i love that charlie and tula are so close in age. we were blessed with awesome weather, even though the weatherman threatened rain on saturday. the boys caught us some fresh dungeness crab and we enjoyed delicious crab cakes last night.
oh! but i almost forgot! on the way there i had charlie on my lap (britney spears style) in the car as we rode from the ferry holding area to the ferry itself...anyway, a police officer waved us over and gave us a good talking to. he said he could take me to jail for child endangerment. i know, i know, it probably wasn't the best idea, but really...we were driving maybe 50 yards...the guy did NOT have to be an ass about it.
I think it's funny he gave YOU a talking to - of all people - the carseat safety police mom got a talking to?? :)
