my bed
we got new mattresses and OMG I slept so well last night...well, aside from chris being out of town. I ordered them from costco.com, which is great, because they deliver, and if I don't like it in 6 months or a year I can still return it. but the downside with costco.com is that they don't haul away your old mattress. so, I posted mine on craigslist. (I love craigslist). I was going to put free because I really just want it gone, but then I thought, hey, why not get $25 bucks out of it, that would get me about 25 happy hour Sonic slushes or something.
So anyway, "Donny" calls me last night at about 10pm. He apologizes right off the bat for calling so late, but wants to know if I'm selling a "king sized pillow top mattress set for 25 dollars? Is that right?? it's a pillowtop?? and it's 25 DOLLARS??" I tell him that I am, and it is, but that unfortunately I had someone else interested in it, so I offered to take his number and call him in the morning if it ended up being available. He is obviously upset that the mattress set is potentially already spoken for. He says, "Oh MAN! My wife is SO tired of sleeping on the floor, I could come and get it TONIGHT!" No Donny, you cannot come get it tonight, I am already IN my bed. And my husband is out of town, so I probably shouldn't be meeting strangers who buy ten year old mattress sets off Craigslist.
I kinda felt bad for Donny though. He made me laugh. And his poor wife. Eeesh!
PS. Chris is home tonight, just so you know. : )
Looks great. Though I don't think I've ever seen your bed made. :)
ReplyDeleteannie---then we must be really good friends so that I don't feel like I HAVE to make my bed when you come over. either that or you don't give me any notice when you come over. love ya either way.
