Dear Charlie

Dear Charlie,
You are one week old today! You have settled into our family quite nicely and none of us can get enough of you. You are such a sweet baby and have had lots of visitors in your first week. I am adjusting to having a newborn again. You may not know this, but your mom is kind of old to be having a brand new baby. Don't misunderstand me though, I LOVE it, and I love you. Sometimes I just can't stop kissing your adorable little face and you get so annoyed with me! And I love to stick my nose in your neck and just smell you. If I could somehow bottle up that smell I would be a rich woman. Your big brother and sister adore you too. Grace is so good with you, sometimes when you cry she will pick you up and comfort you and then you'll settle back down. Camden loves to hold you too, but not for too long. I think he is waiting for when you are a little bit older and he can teach you how to play spies. Daddy and Gracie have taken to changing your diaper in the morning, and getting you dressed for the day while I take my shower. I get cranky if I don't get my shower, so this is good. This morning you peed on Daddy while he was changing you. Ha! You are funny, Charlie! You've been sleeping in bed with me this week, and I love how you snuggle right next to me, but you'll probably have to get kicked out soon, or at the very latest before you start kindergarten.
