These are those photos. Taken by Chris on his iPhone 4. Edited by me in Lightroom 3.

The internet says that this ride is among the top 3 most difficult rides in the nation and also the longest paved climb in the world. And if the internet says so, it must be true.

I'm seriously in awe of your husband! I've driven up the road. There's no way I'd ever walk or bike it! That is so awesome! I know he was rewarded with an awesome view at the end. So glad you're enjoying my island home. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so grateful for this! My brother works at that observatory...and though he has many wonderful qualities, taking and sharing photos isn't one of them. So I feel like I've gotten a glimpse into his daily world. What an impressive accomplishment as well - I'm just in awe!
ReplyDeleteSeriously ridiculous. I mean, could those bikes shorts be any tighter? ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is nuts. Insane. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteGood for him!
This is so cool! Something I would never, ever do in a million years, but I really admire those who do things like this.
ReplyDeleteYou have to give the hubby some credit; holy cow! I could never do this! And I don't blame you for not going! I can't believe you are in Hawaii; I'm so jealous :o) The hubby and I were just talking about how much we want to go. I'm just not quite sure I want to make that long plane ride (yikes)!
