and then she snapped: show off your shot

show off your shot

Greetings, friends! We are enjoying our time in sunny Palm Springs, and feeling bad for our friends back home where it's raining and, you know, raining. We're missing Grace lots, but she is having a blast with my Mom, in NEW YORK CITY! She's promised to be taking tons of pics to blog about later!

Anyway, the boys and I are here with Chris' Mom aka "Mimi" and we went out to dinner the other night. It was a disaster, other than this gorgeous photo I got of these three that I totally want to show off:

Why a disaster? Well, it probably started with the fact that Charlie didn't nap that day...until we got in the car to head to the restaurant, where he promptly crashed out. I transferred him from carseat to stroller where he remained zonked for about a half hour. Then he woke up as "wrong side of the bed Charlie" and that's when all hell broke loose. There was crying, crying, and more crying. Me taking him outside of the restaurant until he stopped (remember my husband is still crippled?), then we'd come back in and the crying would commence again. Eventually we just hung out in the back of our rented Jeep until everyone else finished their dinner. Fun times. Plus, the food wasn't even that great.

Won't you join me and show off your shot...it's easy!
1) Pick your favorite shot of the week, or one that you otherwise feel like "showing off".
2) Show it off!

That's it!

  1. So glad you are enjoying your time in Palm Springs!! I feel you on the restaurant crying. We haven't experienced the public crying yet, but we have experienced the nap skipping cranky Will and it is not fun!

  2. Palm Springs sounds great right now! I was looking at flights recently. Awww, I remember the days of restaurant crying and hanging out in the parking lot and people staring...Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

  3. Not-long-enough-nap crying is the worst.

I could go for Palm Springs right about now.

  4. Wah! That sounds totally awful. I've got plenty of cranky toddler commiseration for you.

  6. my kids are 15 and 17 and still wake up on the wrong side of the bed from time to time, which is extra funny since both of their beds are up against walls on one side...so that explains a lot!!!

  10. Aww, I'm sorry it was a disaster, but at least you made some memories. You will laugh of this day later on. ;) Cute photos! <3

  11. Oh man - I hate the grumpy wake ups. It takes forever to get them out of that mood. The head flop is so cute - and a little sad. Poor sleepy Charlie.

  12. I know how that goes. My daughter did that ALL DAY yesterday. It was so bad I was scared to make eye contact when she wasn't crying for fear of setting it off again. haha. ;)
