Also, if you were here yesterday you know about my rodent drama. Well, it didn't end happily (yet). We woke up to new droppings, I almost had a nervous breakdown, and Chris got all McGyver-y. I'm not ready to talk about it yet, but if you want to see what happened today click here to see my facebook album.
ANYway...We went to the Washington State History Museum this weekend, because it was yucky out and we wanted to do something as a family. For some reason Charlie had it in his head that we would see animals at the museum, and luckily, he was not disappointed!
Afterwards we crossed the street to Starbucks, of course. Because what's a Sunday morning without coffee and scones?
Then we headed back to the car. It was a good morning.
I don't really "get" wordless wednesday. So around here words are totally ok, and actually encouraged! So if you like words too and want to link up your wordless wednesday, but with words, please do. And if it's Thursday by the time you get around to it, well heck, that's ok too.
Grab my button and link up below and with some of my favorite wordless wednesday hostesses: project alicia, live and love outloud, the paper mama, the daily wyatt and naptime momtog.
I'm also linking up with my friend Heidi for black and white wednesday.
I love the shot of the stairs.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos! Thanks for the linky.

I am SHOCKED that you actually took pictures of the animals.
ReplyDeleteAlso, these are beautiful b/w pics. Thanks for linking up, Lady!
I am always amazed by taxidermy - those two look so real!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! And it's too bad I'm not near you, because I am better mouse catcher than any trap or animal. I used to live in a farmhouse and at the end of harvest we would get inundated with field mice. My dog SUCKED at catching them, and our traps caught dust. But I caught five with my bare hands, and I just so happened to be 7 months pregnant!
ReplyDeleteYep, I'm weird, I know. But it was SO.MUCH.FUN.
Really love your second shot - thanks as always for your time & effort into your weekly link ups.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good morning. As long as there is coffee and scones :)
ReplyDeleteNoooo... rats!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous in B&W Rachel! LOVE the 2nd shot so much.
Scones!!! I think that is the first time I have ever heard such a wonderful creation mentioned on an American blog. My hubby is an American and I even had to point it out to him. I hope you enjoyed your scones.

ReplyDeleteWay to turn a 'yucky' morning into a family adventure! And I find most days get better with a starbucks coffee and scone!

ReplyDeletei ♥ your b&w photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Love the second one! The stairs just draw you in.
ReplyDeleteEww. Sorry they're still getting in. So gross. I have an issue with the smaller variety right now...
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they live their happy little lives in the forest like good vermin??
Love the stair shot. :)
We are having mice in our house too. I hate it. Love that second photo.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are wonderful. Have you set any traps yet for the pests? Good luck. We get mice every winter. We set up the traps and Bang! They are gone within a couple of weeks. Fortunately they stay down in the basement. Even so they are gross.
